From humble beginnings in 1997 with the purchase of 20 acres of vineyard in the heart of Clare, Neagles Rock has quickly established itself as one of the leading wineries in the Clare Valley, receiving both local and international acclaim.
In 7 short years Neagles Rock evolution has been rapid, though focussed, with concepts and products emerging from disciplined strategies to silly talk with friends. And while the image and labels have focussed on branding, fun and frivolity, our winemaking has targeted approachable wine styles for consumer enjoyment. The result is a quality range of Estate grown wines from the heart of the Clare Valley, well packaged and branded. A range that is representative of both the region and the variety.
As fruit and structure are the key objectives for winemaking, our initial and now ongoing focus is in the vineyards – restoration & maintenance of classic old vines, varieties that have been the backbone to the establishment of this beautiful valley.
And what better way to enhance the flavour of great wine than with the natural fresh flavours of regional food – Neagles Rock Restaurant "Food: with wine, for wine", has played an integral role in the development of the Neagles Rock brand. At Neagles Rock our menu reflects fresh seasonal flavours of the Mediterranean using regional produce & our own home-grown vegetables & herbs.
